The experimental center is composed of professional basic laboratory and professional laboratory, with a total of 11 laboratories. The center has 10 full-time laboratory management personnel. The main laboratories are: Structural Engineering Laboratory, Engineering Mechanics Laboratory, Civil Engineering Materials Laboratory, Building Equipment Laboratory, Water Supply and Drainage Engineering Laboratory, Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory, Roads and Bridges Engineering Laboratory, Transportation Engineering Laboratory and Engineering Management Simulation Laboratory Engineering Survey Laboratory, etc.

The center consists of National Engineering Practice Education Center (2012), National Civil Engineering Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center (2013), Guangdong Civil Engineering Technology Research Center (2013), Guangdong Provincial Civil Engineering Technology Research Center (2009), Guangdong Provincial Civil Engineering Technology Research Center (2009) Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Civil Engineering in general universities of Guangdong Province (2009), Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Engineering Mechanics in Guangdong Province (2013), International Cooperation and Innovation Platform of Guangdong Universities (2013), Joint Research Center of High Performance Structure and Materials of Guangdong University of Technology and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2010) and other teaching and research platforms.
