Guest Profile: Shi Wenxin, professor and doctoral supervisor of Chongqing University, is the director of the Department of Water Science and Engineering, School of Environment and Ecology, Chongqing University. He serves concurrently as the Secretary-General of the Water Supply and Drainage Science and Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, Secretary-General of the Engineering Education Committee of China Urban Water Supply and Drainage Association, Standing Member of the Water Treatment and Reuse Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, Water Industry Branch of the Chinese Civil Engineering Society Directors and so on. He has studied abroad in Delft, the University of California, Berkeley, and Israel. The main research directions include the theory and technology of drinking water security, ecological treatment of sewage and its recycling technology, water membrane separation technology. He has already carried out over 20 national Water projects, key R&D programs, and projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and published more than 100 papers in journals such as Water Research, Journal of Membrane Science, Chemical Engineering Journal, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, etc. The researchachievements have won the first prize, second prize and third prize of the Ministry of Education, Heilongjiang Province Science and Technology Progress Award, with a total of 6 items. And he has won the 2019 China Water Industry Figure Teaching and Research Award.
